National Museum of Histroy of Ukraine is the leading historical museum in the country which is situated in Kiev on Starokievskaya hill. Here you can find ethnographic and archeological findings, artworks, sculptures, numismatic collections, ancient books. The building of the museum is a sample of architecture that was constructed in 1937-1939 upon the project of architect Karakis. The collection of the museum includes over 800 thousands of unique samples of history and culture, valuable archeological, numismatic, arms collections. Also there is a collection of the documents of XV-XXI century, Cossacks’ attributes, treaties, letters.
