The museum was created in 1998 as soon as the restoring of the monastery started. It consists of two parts. The lower hall represents monastery, its role in history and culture of Ukraine while the upper hall shows struggle of Bolsheviks against monuments of Christianity and unique story of restoring of the monastery. Among exhibits of the museum are pictures of the cathedral in different periods of time, its original fragments, fragments of wall paintings that decorated it. The pearl of the collection is carved stone with the image of holy warrior that dates back to XI century. Also there are portraits of Kiev metropolitans, Ukrainian hetmans, old books and worship books in the exhibition.
