Lvov Gallery of Art

Lvov Gallery of Art is the biggest art museum of Ukraine. It consists of 24 building, 16 museums with total area of 40 thousands square meters and its fund includes 58 thousands of exhibits. Main building of the gallery is former palace of Vladislav Lozinskiy. The building was constructed in 1873 and reorganized in 1914. Nowadays there is the first exposition of the gallery. In a few steps there is collection of European art of XVI-XVIII century in the palace of Potockie. Exposition includes creation of English, French, Dutch, Austrian, German, Russian, Polish, Hungarian, Romanian, Italian, Spanish, American, Ukrainian and Denmark artists. Most of them are from XIX-XX centuries. Pictures represent variety of genres: portraits, landscape paintings, still-life, Biblical and mythic plots, marine paintings.
