Klitschko: Haye is afraid of fighting, because he knows he will lose

WBC world heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko of Ukraine has said he believes that WBA champion David Haye of Britain is afraid of fighting either Klitschko brother, because he knows that he will lose the fight.

“Haye does not want to fight. He is afraid. He knows that he will lose. This is why he is trying to dictate the terms. He doesn’t want to fight elder Klitschko, because he is allegedly old. But why doesn’t he want to fight Klitschko junior? It turns out that Wladimir cannot fight anyone and wait only for Haye. But the bout with [Derek] Chisora has been postponed. My brother feels he owes to viewers and people who bought the tickets for this fight. He will fight Chisora in April, and early in July he will be in great shape,” Vitali Klitschko said.

Klitschko also denied allegations by Haye that Wladimir Klitschko will not be able to fight in July, since he will fight Derek Chisora late in April. “We are interested in a fight with Haye and provided full confirmation in this connection. If he does not want to fight Wladimir, then let him fight me. We are ready to hold a press conference and sign a contract for the fight. But Haye does not want it. Everyone wants to see how Klitschko will knock out this man who cannot choose the right words. But Haye is looking for excuses,” the Ukrainian boxer said.
