Kiev National Museum of Russian Art

This museum has the main collection of Russian painting, graphics and sculpture in Ukraine. It was created by the donations of Kiev patrons. Most of the pictures came from Tereshenko family. They provided pictures of Fedotov, Shishkin, Kramskoy, Yaroshenko, Repin, Vasnecov, Polenov, Vrubel, Vereshagin to the museum. Later collection received pictures of Arhipov, Rilov, Rerix, Somov, Falk. After reorganization in 1930-1940 exposition appended with pictures of Levickiy, Borovikovskiy, Savrasov, Ge, Gerasimov, Saryan, Serov, Zerebryakova. In the courtyard visitors can find monument of Alexander II which is the only original monument of this tsar left in Europe.
