Kiev Memorial Museum of Maxim Rylskiy

Famous Ukrainian poet Maxim Rylskiy lived in this house last 11 years of his life. He chosen this place for the house by himself and rejected offer to live in elite Koncha-Zaspa. He liked suburbs of Kiev, picturesque Holoseevo that was almost blank at that time. Museum opened in a few years after the death of writer which made possible to save interior in which poet lived. Museum of Rylskiy was created by sons of the poet as well as his friends N.Tihonov, A.Tvardovskiy, M.Isakovskiy, I.Kozlovskiy. Since that time during more than 40 years the museum was visited by over 1 million people. The exposition includes manuscripts of Rylskiy, his library, welfare items.
