7 Wonders of Ukrainian Nature

Ukraine is rich for so many beauties, nature being the most precious gift God has richly endowed Ukraine with. Just like 7 Wonders of Ukraine, this poll was held a year later in 2008 with support of Mykola Tomenko. The voting was closed in August 2008 with the following results:

1. Askaniya-Nova National Park

This unique biospheric nature reserve is the only typchak-feather grass step area in the whole never touched with a plough. The reserved step consists of three main groups Nothern Masyv, Southern Masyv and Velyky Chepelsky Masyv. 478 sorts of plants, 1155 types of insects, 7 spices of amphibia and reptiles, 18 spices of mammals, and over 270 different kinds of birds are to will keep you interested for at least a couple of days. Number 1 in my wish list for the next summer!

2. Granite-steppe lands of Buh

Regional landscape park embraces the river denes of Pivdenny Buh and canyon-like valleys of its affluents Velyka Korabelna, Bakshala, Mertvovod and Arbuzynka. Fabulous natural canyons of Mertvorod and Arbuzynka are truly a breathtaking view! They took my breath away too!

3. Dniester Canyon

The most interesting and picturesque section of Dniester is its 250km length from the mouth of Zolota Lypa to the mouth of Zbruch. Dniester is falling down the canyon-like valley, forming numerous fantastic twists – meanders. Incredible nature in this area counts about a hundred natural monuments.
