Our 70-year Ukrainian SSR history has left many significant traces in the hearts of the people, on the faces of the towns and cities, in the mental set up. What did they leave us though?

Well, my personal favorite!!! It was “presented” to Ukrainian SSR in 1954 by Nikita Khrushchov. One of the most beautiful spots of Ukraine, a great place for budget vacations or a romantic escape it originally belonged to Tatars which now make a considerable part of its population. It’s real nice to have this country within a country with its own ways and habits to explore.

One more present from Nikita Sergeevich. These are 3 to 5 storied buildings built throughout the USSR from 1956 till 1985. They were easy to erect, had the typical planning in the style of minimal art and provided the most important – homes for the Soviet citizens. Today they are still homing numerous Ukrainian families.

Yesss! To get anything in Ukraine you need more papers than for another countries’ citizenship! To join a decent library you will not only need your passport or other ID, but your University diploma and a couple of other documents proving that you really need to use the valuable funds
And you do not imagine the pack I had to collect to get the social benefits for the kid.
