5 Nicest Spots in Ukrainian Crimea

Crimea is a picturesque spot as is, though we are going to put a couple of spots on its map to mark the most beautiful of its places.

1. Ayu-Dag (aka Medved Gora)

It’s a beautiful mountain on the Southern Crimean Seashore. The contours of which resemble a bear giving it another name Medved Gora (Bear Mountain). Its flanks and its top are covered with forest which makes its resemblance to a bear even more vivid. Medved Gora is an unaccomplished volcano with only 544 meters high it’s quite safe for climbing. One of my favorite spots in Crimea.

2. Ay-Petri

St. Peter mount in the Crimean mountains in Yalta region, 1243 meters high. Widely known as an attraction for the cableway from its foot to the top and a very serpentine road you need to take to get to the top. There you will find lots of tourist attractions: make pictures with wild and domestic animals, get souvenirs, try National Crimea-Tatar cuisine and enjoy the picturesque view.

3. Vorontsovskiy Palace

The palace is situated in Alupka, near the foot of Ay-Petri mountain. It has been built in English architecture style with the elements of different epochs – the further from the western gate – the later the style supplemented by oriental motives. Its key feature is placement with accordance with the movement of the mountains which makes it harmoniously fir into the mountainous landscape.
