Ukraine is famous for its history, language, Orange Revolution, cuisine, nature, palaces, castles and… prisoners! Ukrainian prisoners famous all over the world are what I’m presenting you today!
1. Viktor Yanukovych

The President of Ukraine. I never expected that a person to win the second tour of the presidential elections is a former prisoner. In his young years he was condemned for robbery and hooliganism. Officially all is cleared, though people believe the story was quite true!
2. Yulia Tymoshenko

Former Prime-Minister of Ukraine she was more what we call a political prisoner. She was imprisoned during Leoned Kuchma’s presidency for bribing one of our other personages Pavlo Lazarenko. She gained much popularity for this episode which actually was one of the factors that led her to the 2nd position on the last presidential elections.
3. Pavlo Lazarenko
Luxuriously imprisoned in the US he was accused of money laundering. Well, he was the one caught among a great number of others who were not. You can see them representing Ukraine in the Forbes lists nowadays.
