This beautiful ensemble is situated in the center of the renowned Primorskiy Boulevard that has been included in the UNESCO heritage list. This place above the sea is always crowded, and the Duke (that’s how, without ceremony, he is called by Odessa citizens) is always in the spotlight.

Duke Richelieu left France after the French Revolution and devoted 11 years to Odessa, calling it “the best pearl in Russia’s crown”. The list of his contributions to the city would take a number of volumes to tell.
