In September, 1994, in days of celebrating of the 200 anniversary of the basis of a city, in Odessa in buildings on the Red lane ? 16-20 the Branch of the Greek Fund of Culture (the Center in Athenes) has been solemnly opened.

On favourable terms the city administration has transferred these buildings in the Branch order at which the museum “Filiki Eterija” translated here works since then. Its this historical place.

In the past these buildings belonged to Greeks and here in 1814 the secret in a revolutionary way-patriotic organisation “Filiki Eterija” which has prepared Greeks for struggle for independence has been created and has for ever connected history of Odessa with history of the national-state revival of Greece.
