3 Places You Should Never Agree a Date on in Ukrainian Capital

Now here you are in Kyiv, having a date with your online or real life friends or business partners. I need to tell you where NOT to agree a date in Ukrainian capital so that you don’t get lost. So, here’s the list of three:

1. Exit from Kreshchatyk subway station

Never agree to meet here, especially if you are travelling on the subway. This station has three known exits and an underpass to Maydan Nezalezhnosti subway station. It will take you 10 to 20 minutes to walk from one exit to another when out of the underground. 10+20 makes enough time to miss your date. So pick another spot on Khreshchatyk Street: a fountain in Passazh, Khreshchatyk, 15.

2. Fountain on Khreshatyk Street

This is also quite simple. Your date has to specify which of the fountains you should pick – there are about 10 of those on Maydan Nezalezhnosti only, 2 more along Khreshchatyk Street and god knows what else they will build by the time you finally come to Kyiv. Better chose a café with a known name, McD near the subway exit after all! The same remark also concerns meeting on Kontraktova Ploshcha – there are a couple of fountains, so better fix it in DoubleCoffee café. You’ll relax with a cup of delicious cappuccino or a cocktail while waiting.

3. Near the church

Never agree to meet near the church in any part of Ukrainian capital. The churches are everywhere!!!! Even in the district you may consider most residential one might find three churches situated within a square mile. When speaking of the city center, the date can become a total disaster. But if there is nothing else remarkable around your meeting point – write down the name of the church and ask minimum three pedestrians where the church you are looking for is (not every local knows the names of all the churches, especially seeing them every day!).

So, take my advice, enjoy your stay and do not get lost in the Ukrainian capital unless you want some beautiful Ukrainian girl to help you out
