Once I had to spend the whole long summer without vacations, was a busy time. Though I just can’t stay at home for too long and had to explore dozens of places to go to for a weekend within 3 hours drive. So, here’s my top list! Don’t be bothered with the hassle of investigating, just rent a car, get a GPS-navigator, take the list and go.
1. Aleksandriya (about an hour drive)

An arboretum in Bila Tserkva. Romantic, but a bit neglected.
2. Sofiyivsky Park (about 2 hours drive)

A beautiful all the year around arboretum and a huge landscape park in Uman. The greatest romantic escape for a weekend, though I never stayed at a local hotel of which it seems to be only one.
3. Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskiy Historico-Ethnographical National Park (about an hour drive)

Open air museum with plenty authentic buildings picked from different regions of Ukraine. A quality pass-temps if you love authentic and traditional.
